Just hours after opening to mainly enthusiastic reviews, the Broadway musical Waitress announced that it will assemble a second company to go on a North American tour.

The tour of the Sara Bareilles show will launch at Cleveland’s Playhouse Square October 17, 2017. The new musical is directed by Diane Paulus and has a book by Jessie Nelson. It's based on the 2007 film by Adrienne Shelly.

No word on other dates or casting.

Waitress has been nominated for Best Musical of 2016 by the Outer Critics Circle Awards and the Drama League Awards.
