Director Anthony Lau is bringing a contemporary edge to the London staging of the Terence Rattigan drama.

Rehearsals are underway for the National Theatre's revival of Terence Rattigan's Man and Boy, which will play the Dorfman January 30-March 14. Get a sneak peek at the production, which officially opens at the London venue February 10, in the rehearsal footage above.

Director Anthony Lau, in his National Theatre debut, is bringing a contemporary edge to Rattigan’s tale of paternity and corruption, with Ben Daniels (The Normal Heart) and Laurie Kynaston (Long Day’s Journey into Night) playing father and son.

Joining the duo are Phoebe Campbell as Carol Penn, Isabella Laughland as Countess Antonescu, Malcolm Sinclair as Mark Herries, Leo Wan as David Beeston, and Nick Fletcher as Sven Johnson.

The play is set in 1930s New York City as international financier Gregor Antonescu’s luck has finally run out. As news of a catastrophic business deal ripples across the world, he flees to the apartment of his estranged son Basil.

The creative team also includes set and costume designer Georgia Lowe, lighting designer Elliot Griggs, choreographer and movement director Aline David, composer Angus MacRae, sound designer Giles Thomas, intimacy director Haruka Kuroda, casting director Martin Poile, dialect coach Aundrea Fudge, voice coach Cathleen McCarron, and staff director Rachel Lemon.
