Playbill Goes Fringe Video: Out of the Blue, an A Cappella Group, Performs a Frozen Medley

This popular group is back at Edinburgh Festival Fringe for the 19th year.

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the biggest arts festival in the world, with nearly 3,500 shows. This year, Playbill is in Edinburgh for the entire month in August for the festival and we’re taking you with us. Follow along as we cover every single aspect of the Fringe, aka our real-life Brigadoon!

We've got a question for you. Do you wanna build a snowman? We think you will when you hear this rendition of the Frozen song performed by an all-male a cappella group hailing from the University of Oxford. Out of the Blue has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe for the last 18 years. This year marks their 19th Fringe run and the audience was no less excited.

See the vocal stylings of this perennial Fringe favorite above as they performed a medley of songs from Frozen and Frozen II, in an exclusive video shot and edited by Playbill's Videographer Ethan Treiman (who coincidentally was in an a cappella group in college).

The songs in the video include "Love Is an Open Door," "Do You Want to Build a Snowman," "Into the Unknown," and, of course, "Let It Go." There are high notes, choreography, and an Elsa wig.

Out of the Blue performs until August 28 at Assembly George Square, Gordon Aikman Theatre. Get tickets here.
