The new British musical Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), which ended its 10-week sold-out run at the Kiln Theatre January 20, transfers to the Criterion Theatre in the West End beginning April 4. The two-hander, presented by Tim Johanson Productions, Glass Half Full Productions, and Jamie Wilson Productions, will play the Criterion through July 14.

Directed by Tim Jackson, the cast features Dujonna Gift (Hamilton) as Robin and Olivier winner Sam Tutty (Dear Evan Hansen) as Dougal.

Written by Jim Barne and Kit Buchan, Two Strangers follows naïve but upbeat Brit Dougal, who is flying to New York for the wedding of his estranged father. Waiting for him at the airport is Robin, a native New Yorker who is the sister of the bride.

The production also has designs by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design by Jack Knowles, sound design by Tony Gayle, musical direction by Sean Green, orchestrations by Lux Pyramid, casting by Julia Horan, and associate direction by Claira Vaughan.

In a previous statement the musical's producers said, "We’re thrilled to collaborate and present this record-breaking new British musical at the iconic Criterion Theatre. We’re excited to continue serving up this incredible production to new audiences and transporting them on a captivating journey across the Atlantic every night this spring.”

An earlier version of the musical was produced by Royal & Derngate, Northampton and New Wolsey Ipswich called The Season.
