Singer-songwriter Travis Cormier joins that cast of Bat Out of Hell: The Musical. The work features the greatest hits of longtime collaborators Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman and begins performances September 27 at Paris Las Vegas.

It was previously announced that Travis Cloer, known as the longest-running actor to play Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys, is starring as Falco, along with Alize Cruz as Raven and Anne Martinez as Sloane. Cormier joins in the leading role of Strat following a wide search in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and New York. Ironically enough, the singer wasn't scouted at any of those locations due to misplacing his passport, but still landed the role because of his "rock 'n' roll, yet dreamy vibe."

"Travis Cormier is what Steinman originally envisioned for Strat," says producer David Sonnenberg, also Steinman and Meatloaf’s long-time manager. Cormier broke through with a performance on Canada's The Voice, where he auditioned with Aerosmith's "Dream On" and finished in second place. Since, he has released his own original musical and opened for Bon Jovi.

The production cast continues with Mecca Hicks as Zahara, Je’Shaun Jackson as Jagwire, Freddy Lealoukoula Pomee as Tink, Mikayla Agrella as Valkyrie, Jared Svoboda as Ledoux, Matthew Ballestero as Markevitch, Kyle Becker as O’Dessasuite, Kris Bona as Esquivel, Connor Crowley as Denym, Mitchell Gray as Hoffman, Joe Hebel as Hollander, Waverly Jade as Kwaidan, Kyle Kuhlman as Goddesilla, Drew Lake as Bessamy, Ally Mendoza as Leibeswoosh, Paige Anne Mills as Mordema, Justine Rafael as Lunarrow, Jeffrey Ricca as Vanveeteren, James Simpson as Astrogranger, Rachel Wirtz as Vilmos, and Laura Wright as Scherzzo.

The musical will feature an eight-person live band featuring Flint Hawes, Jake Langley, Tyler Williams, Chris Cicchino, Alex Stopa, Rachel Julian, Dave Richardson, and Angela Chan-Stopa.

Bat Out of Hell: The Musical follows Strat, immortal leader of The Lost, and Raven, daughter of the tyrant Falco, as they fall in love in a story about the rebelliousness that can come with youth and passion. Hits like "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night)," "Bat Out of Hell," "I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)," and "Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad" are featured in the show, along with two previously unreleased songs, "What Part of My Body Hurts the Most" and "Not Allowed to Love." The show is currently touring the UK and Ireland.

With book, music and lyrics by Steinman, the musical features direction by Jay Scheib, choreography adapted by Xena Gusthart, musical supervision and additional arrangements by Michael Reed, set and costume design by Jon Bausor, original costume designs by Meentje Nielsen, video design by Finn Ross, lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe, sound design by Gareth Owen, orchestrations by Steve Sidwell, original wig designs by Linda McKnight, and casting by Louanne Modorma.

Bat Out of Hell is produced by Michael Cohl, Tony Smith, and David Sonenberg, with executive producer Julian Stoneman.
