Trans Voices Cabaret, the popular concert series featuring transgender and gender non-conforming musical theatre performers, will play a special concert in celebration of WorldPride on June 22 at The Duplex.
Conceived, directed, and produced by transgender actor Donnie Cianciotto (Southern Comfort), Trans Voices Cabaret established a second franchise in Chicago last year and will make its London debut July 4 at The Other Palace Theatre—the new venue co-founded by Andrew Lloyd Webber dedicated to nurturing the work of up-and-coming musical theatre artists. Talent will be announced at a later date.
Set to appear at the Duplex concert are Andi Lee Carter, Kristofer Eckelhoff, Kat Griffin, Jordan Ho, George Ronis, Shakira, Sarah Burke, Ellie Desautels, Meaghan Johnson, Wes Peddycord, Joshuah D. Simpson, and Feathers Wise.Cianciotto will host the 9:30 PM concert, featuring music direction by Anessa Marie. Abraham Marlett will serve as stage manager.
