Olivier- and Tony-winning producer Nick Sidi, formerly a founding member of Elliott & Harper Productions, has launched a solo production company venture, Curveball. The artist-led enterprise will also offer a dramaturg consultancy service.

The company's first project is a West End transfer for Chichester Festival Theatre's The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, opening in January 2026 at Harmarket Theatre. Sidi developed the project while at Eliott & Harper, and is producing the West End bow alongside Chris Harper Productions.

“My ambition is for Curveball to make shows that are a spin on the usual—bringing together innovative, cross-genre creative collaborations, and always with an artist-led approach," says Sidi in a statement. "I’ve been in the industry for over 30 years—as an actor for more than 20 years and for the last decade as a dramaturg and commercial producer. This has given me a unique insight into how to create shows from every angle and that helps me to understand what everyone needs at each stage—both the creative team and the producing team.

"I love music and I love theatre and I’m particularly interested in working with recording artists (like Passenger and his brilliant score on Harold Fry) who come to the process of making musicals with fresh ideas," continues Sidi. "My dramaturg experience means I can work alongside writers, composers and directors to develop projects from an initial concept to a fully realized production. It’s incredibly fulfilling, and I can’t wait to share news soon of some exciting collaborations in development."

Sidi's past career includes Cock in London's West End, Death of a Salesman on Broadway and in London's West End, and the Tony- and Olivier-winning revival of Company. Before his producing career, Sidi was an actor, with credits on stage and screen in such projects as This LifeClocking OffHustleAshes to AshesWaterloo RoadDCI BanksThe Thick of It, and The Death of Stalin.
