Ticket holders for Broadway's Tony-winning Best Musical Revival, The Color Purple, will not see freshly minted Best Actress in a Musical Tony Award winner Cynthia Erivo this week. The days off were previously scheduled and Telecharge.com had a statement informing ticket buyers of her absence weeks in advance.
Erivo has been maintaining a busy round of talk-show appearances in addition to her eight-show-a-week performance schedule at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre in the musical.
She is scheduled to return to the production at the June 19 matinee.
