Soo and Pasquale got engaged in February 2016. The two met while Soo was in rehearsals for Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton, in which Soo originated the role of Eliza. Prior to her Tony-nominated turn in Hamilton, Soo graduated from Juilliard before originating the role of Natasha in Natasha, Pierre, & the Great Comet of 1812 Off-Broadway. Earlier in 2017, Soo originated the title role in Broadway’s new original musical Amélie. She returns to Broadway this fall as part of the cast of The Parisian Woman, starring Uma Thurman, which begins performances November 9.

Pasquale was a series regular on Rescue Me for seven years before he returned to Broadway in Jason Robert Brown’s The Bridges of Madison County. Pasquale had made his Broadway debut in 2009 in Neil LaBute’s reasons to be pretty. He also earned a Drama Desk nomination for his Off-Broadway performance in A Man of No Importance and recently starred in the Off-Broadway revival of The Robber Bridegroom from Roundabout Theatre Company.
