The production was no doubt helped by the presence of Emmy and Golden Globe winner Jim Parsons, star of TV's "The Big Band Theory." Parsons plays God in the play, which is billed as "written by God, transcribed by David Javerbaum." In the script, God appears on Broadway to announce a few key revisions to The Bible.
Asked to comment, "God" said: “This is my favorite profit since Moses!”

Directed by Joe Mantello (Wicked), the production has just three weeks left (through Aug. 2) on its limited run at Studio 54.
Though it is presented at a theatre owned by Roundabout Theatre Company, it is an independent, commercial production that booked Studio 54.
