The Recording Academy honored Kristin Chenoweth with its Philanthropist Award April 9 at the Grammys on the Hill ceremony.
The evening, which united the worlds of music and politics, also honored four-time Grammy-winning gospel artist Yolanda Adams with the Creators Leadership Award for her advocacy on behalf of fellow creators. Tony and Emmy winner Chenoweth was celebrated for her philanthropic contributions to the music community.
Also honored were Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) for their roles in achieving bipartisan support of the Music Modernization Act, further advancing music creators' rights.
