Stage to Page The Prom Celebrates Opening Night on Broadway The new musical comedy, about a group of Broadway eccentrics who infiltrate a conservative Midwest town, opened November 15.

The new musical comedy The Prom opened November 15 at the Longacre Theatre on Broadway, following previews that began October 23. Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs the show, which features a book by his Aladdin collaborator Chad Beguelin and fellow Tony winner Bob Martin, music by Matthew Sklar, and lyrics by Beguelin.

Reprising their performances from the 2016 Atlanta world premiere are Tony winner Beth Leavel, Tony nominees Christopher Sieber and Brooks Ashmanskas, Caitlin Kinnunen, Isabelle McCalla, Angie Schworer, Josh Lamon, and Courtenay Collins. Joining them for the Broadway bow is Michael Potts.
