Upcoming The Mambo Kings star David Alan Grier, "Chicago" film Mama Queen Latifah, director Quentin Tarantino (Wait Until Dark) and Jim Henson's creations also appear in the television event May 20 at 8 PM (ET). Check local listings.

The latest take on the fantastical journey of young Dorothy features the lovable Muppets as the famous characters — Kermit the Frog (Scarecrow), Gonzo (the Tin Thing), Fozzie Bear (the Cowardly Lion) and Miss Piggy (Wicked Witch). The TV movie debuted at this year's annual Tribeca Film Festival.

Tambor currently stars opposite Alan Alda (QED, "M*A*S*H"), Liev Schreiber (Henry V, "Scream") and more in the new Broadway staging of David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello (Assassins, Take Me Out). The actor known for his TV roles on "Arrested Development" and "The Larry Sanders Show" has previously trodded the Broadway boards in Sly Fox. Other stage credits include Measure For Measure Off-Broadway and Los Angeles productions of Sly Fox, The Hands Of Its Enemy, Flea in Her Ear, American Mosaic and The Seagull. He has also appeared in such films as "And Justice For All." "Hellboy," "There’s Something About Mary," "Pollack" and "Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas."

The L. Frank Baum classic has been the source material for The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz and the inspiration for Gregory Maguire's "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" which was musicalized into the current Broadway show Wicked.
