Broadway favorite Telly Leung will star in an upcoming concept album release of Charli Eglinton's new musical Dyseheart, set to drop October 25.
The creepy, crawly new musical takes place in 1933 London. Between world wars and seemingly at peace, a serial killer—who may or may not be supernatural—is wreaking havoc on the city. When Chinese-American detective Walter Dyseheart gets on the case, he finds himself wanted by both the police and some terrifying supernatural beasts, only to ultimately determine the case was nothing as he first imagined.
Leung, who stars in the title role, is joined in the cast by Elliott Wooster (Rebel Cheer Squad) as Finn Halley, Alex Sharpe (Les Misérables) as Ayame, Emily Ooi (Spring Awakening) as Clarise Siniang, Mikey Wooster (Friends: The Musical Parody) as Raul De Laune, and Nic Chiappetta (Pageant) as Inspector McCallister.
Dyseheart features concept, a book, music, and lyrics by Eglinton, who also mixed the remotely recorded album.
