Manhattan Theatre Club celebrated the official opening of John Patrick Shanley’s The Portuguese Kid October 24. The new romantic comedy from the Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright has been extended through December 3.

The world premiere features a cast led by Seinfeld star Jason Alexander and three-time Tony nominee Sherie Rene Scott. The two play a pair in Providence, Rhode Island, who have known each other since childhood but have never been involved romantically.
