Tony Award winners Sutton Foster (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Younger) and Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton) are among the Broadway luminaries who will lend their voices to the inaugural season of Sunny Day, the new Nickelodeon animated TV series that stars Lilla Crawford. The show premieres August 21.

Crawford played Little Red Riding Hood in the 2014 film adaptation of Into the Woods, and the title role in the 2012 Broadway revival of Annie.

Aimed at preschoolers, Sunny Day will also be seen on Treehouse TV starting at a date to be announced this fall. The show is based on Abie Longstaff’s children’s book series The Fairytale Hairdresser, illustrated by Lauren Beard.

Among other theatre-related names who will be lending their voices to guest roles on the project: Adam Jacobs (Aladdin), Shanice Williams (The Wiz Live!), Lance Bass (Hairspray), Ashley Parker Angel (Wicked), Jamie-Lynn Sigler (Beauty and the Beast), and Kether Donohue (Pitch Perfect).

They’ll join the previously announced Kevin Duda (Beautiful), Taylor Louderman (Kinky Boots), and Melissa van der Schyff, who was featured in Bonnie and Clyde and the revival of Big River.

Dates for their appearances are yet to be announced.

Crawford has also been announced as one of the stars of Netflix’s The Who Was? Show.
