The Drama League Centennial Gala will be held Nov. 2 at The Plaza (768 Fifth Avenue) in New York City.

The lineup for the evening's one-of-a-kind musical tribute — inspired by Peters' career in theatre, film and television – will include hosts Michael Douglas and Gloria Estefan; a bevy of Peters’ male co-stars, including Joel Grey (George M!), Norm Lewis (A Bed A Chair), Tom Wopat (Annie Get Your Gun), Chip Zien (Into The Woods), John Dossett (Gypsy) and Ron Raines (Follies); plus Andrew Rannells, Debra Monk, Tammy Blanchard, Mara Davi and Jayne Houdyshell as well as a special tribute given by members of the original cast of Dames at Sea. Drama League Directors Project alumnus Joe Calarco directs. Roger Danforth and Trevor Tamashiro will produce.

“Since 1916, The Drama League has been honored to celebrate the career achievements of the great women of Broadway, including Helen Hayes, Katherine Cornell, Jessica Tandy, Ethel Merman, Barbara Cook, Liza Minnelli, Chita Rivera, and many others,” stated Drama League executive director Gabriel Shanks. “To kick off our second century in this tradition, we could think of no one more perfect than Bernadette, who exemplifies the absolute best of what American musical theater can be. What a pleasure it is to gather her friends, co-stars and colleagues for an unforgettable night celebrating her many triumphs.”

Funds raised by The Drama League Centennial Gala Honoring Bernadette Peters will support The Drama League’s educational initiatives for promising young artists, including the award-winning Directors Project.
