However, arts education initiatives like Situation Project offer an alternative to that learning loss, providing vital programs that support and inspire these students during the summer months.

The summer slide is a well-documented phenomenon where students, particularly those from low-income families, experience a decline in academic skills and knowledge over the summer break.
