Tireless Broadway musician, host, radio personality, writer, and performer Seth Rudetsky will fly into Chicago to help launch the second season of the Chicago Theatre Workshop with a benefit performance of his solo show Deconstructing Broadway on October 28.

As those who have watched his Deconstructing videos on Playbill know, Rudetsky uses his audio/video collection to break down performances from beloved Broadway divas like Patti LuPone and Betty Buckley, as well as to showcase rare videos of celebrities.

Tickets cost $35–$60 for the two performances, 7 and 8:30 PM at Mary’s Attic, 5400 N. Clark in the Andersonville section of Chicago.

Rudetsky is afternoon host on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio’s On Broadway stream, as well as the host of Seth Speaks on Sirius/XM Stars. As a pianist, he has played for more than a dozen Broadway shows including Ragtime and Phantom of the Opera. He served as artistic producer/music director for the first five annual Actors Fund Fall Concerts. He co-wrote and starred in the Broadway musical Disaster! and writes a weekly column for Playbill.

Rudetsky has been a special guest performer on many of Playbill’s Broadway on the High Seas cruises. Cabins are available for Broadway on the Danube River with Michael Feinstein for November 3–13, 2017, also featuring Rudetsky, Rachel Bay Jones, Julia Murney, Christopher Fitzgerald, Marc Kudisch, Christopher Sieber, Brandon Uranowitz.

Tickets are also now on sale for Playbill’s Broadway on the High Seas July 2018 cruise to Iceland, accompanied by Judy Kuhn, Christine Ebersole, Rob McClure, Jarrod Spector, Carmen Cusack, and Sierra Boggess. Visit PlaybillTravel.com for booking and information.
