The world premiere of Halley Feiffer’s new play, The Pain of My Belligerence, directed by Trip Cullman, is set to begin performances at Playwrights Horizons March 29.
The Pain of My Belligerence tells the story of Cat, a 20-something journalist (played by Feiffer), whose ambition is put at stake after she encounters Guy, played by Hamish Linklater, who's charismatic, crass, and married. Feiffer began developing the play in the months leading up to the 2016 election after observing the hypocrisies of those calling out yet perpetuating and enabling toxic masculinity.
Rounding out the cast are Vanessa Kai (KPOP, Somebody’s Daughter), Kiera Belle Young, and Phoebe Young.

The Pain of My Belligerence will feature sets by Mark Wendland, costumes by Paloma Young, lighting design by Ben Stanton, and sound design and original music by Elisheba Ittoop.
