The Pulitzer Prize-winning musical A Strange Loop will begin previews on Broadway April 6 with an opening night April 26 at the Lyceum Theatre.
Michael R. Jackson’s new musical will be led by Jaquel Spivey as Usher with Antwayn Hopper, L Morgan Lee, John-Michael Lyles, James Jackson, Jr., John-Andrew Morrison, and Jason Veasey.

Directed by Stephen Bracket, the production will have choreography by Raja Feather Kelly, scenic design by Arnulfo Maldonado, costumes by Montana Levi Blanco, lighting design by Jen Schriever, sound design by Drew Levy, music direction by Rona Siddiqui, orchestrations by Charlie Rosen, and casting by Destine Lilly with The Telsey Office.
A Strange Loop had its world premiere at Off-Broadway's Playwrights Horizons in 2019, produced in collaboration with Page 73 Productions, followed by a pre-Broadway staging at Washington D.C.'s Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company.
