Broadway and West End composer Andrew Lloyd Webber celebrated his 75th birthday March 22, and both of his current Broadway shows got in on the festivities. Long-running megahit The Phantom of the Opera handed out a special, one-night-only commemorative Playbill to theatregoers.
Over at Lloyd Webber's newest musical, Bad Cinderella, Carolee Carmello led a post-curtain call celebration complete with a very snazzy cake.
"Seventy-five years ago today in London, a baby was born—well, probably a lot of babies were born, but one special baby named Andrew Lloyd Webber was born," Carmello said from the stage. "He went on to write a few songs and create a few Broadway shows, one of which you saw tonight. Even though he couldn't be here with us in person, we're still going to celebrate him in the best way possible—with cake!" Watch above.
Out came a gorgeous, Bad Cinderella-themed cake as Carmello led the company—and audience—singing "Happy Birthday" to the Tony-winning composer.

The musical, featuring a book by Oscar-winning screenwriter Emerald Fennel, music by Lloyd Webber, and lyrics by David Zippel, reimagines the classic fairytale to center around a damsel—but this one is not in distress. The musical opens March 24 at the Imperial Theatre.
