The third annual festival features the works of writers Stephen Metcalfe (Emily, Strange Snow), Vince Melocchi (Lions), Keith Huff (A Steady Rain, Pursued by Happiness, The Bird and Mr. Banks), Brett Neveu (Old Glory, American Dead), Craig Pospisil (Dissonance), Mo Gaffney (Kathy and Mo Show) and Brian Golden (Burying Miss America), as well as Elizabeth Sampson, Chris Goss, Meagan Bernabe and Sean Spann.
Actors appearing in the new works include Zachary Quinto (Angels in America), Mo Gaffney (Kathy and Mo Show), Ann Cusack ("A League of Their Own"), Emmy Award winner Kathy Baker ("Picket Fences"), Perry King ("Riptide"), Kurtwood Smith ("That 70's Show") and Simon Helberg ("Big Bang Theory").
Directors for the Playwrights Festival include Damaso Rodriguez, Joe Banno, Miguel Sandoval ("Medium"), Mark St. Amant, Scott Alan Smith, Sam Anderson ("Lost"), Steve Robman ("Against the Wall," "Lone Star"), Ron Lagomarsino ("Pretty Little Liars") and Julia Fletcher.
