Aaron Rossini stages the production that runs through March 2. It is a presentation of The Fault Line Theatre, which will also present Breathing Time, a new drama by Farragut North and "House of Cards" writer Beau Willimon, in March.
Here's how the play is billed: "The Faire is the frequently hilarious, occasionally tragic tale of the real lives beneath the corsets and coconut boobs of a Renaissance Faire. It follows the behind the scenes lives of five performers at the 'Renaissance Pleasure Faire' somewhere in the backwoods of northern California. The actress, the fencer, the virgin, the old burnout, and the churro lady all have something to lose when they find out attendance is down and interest is waning. Tensions run high as the imminent closure of the fair (…and possibly more) approaches."
The Faire features Jenny Seastone Stern, Rachel Christopher, Amanda Sykes, Kelsey Kurz and Grant R. Krause.
It has design by Tristan Jeffers, lighting design by John Eckert, sound design by Chad Raines, costume design by Izzy Fields and prop design by Jacob Sampson.
