Alex Lin's Chinese Republicans officially opened Off-Broadway February 26, and the reviews are rolling in!
The Roundabout Theatre Company production plays the Laura Pels Theatre, with the limited run set to continue through April 5. Chay Yew (New York City Center's The Light in the Piazza) is directing.
The cast features Jennifer Ikeda (Vietgone) as Ellen and Ailin, Ben Langhorst as Waiter and Daniel, Jully Lee (KPOP) as Iris, Emmy winner Jodi Long (Dash & Lily) as Phyllis and Young Phyllis, and Anna Zavelson (Masquerade) as Katie. Casting is by Carrie Gardner.

The work centers on three high-powered businesswomen who meet a bright-eyed newcomer to impart some career advice, an endeavor that makes them grapple with what they've had to sacrifice for career advancement.
The premiere also features scenic design by Wilson Chin, costume design by Anita Yavich, lighting design by Jeanette Oi-Suk Yew, sound design by Fabian Obispo, projection design by Hana Kim, hair and wig design by Tom Watson, and fight direction by UnkleDave's Fight-House.
