Porgy and Bess, the three-act musical drama will be on stage at the Royal Theatre in its English version, for 8 performances, December 19, 21, 23, 26, 28, 30 and January 1 and 3.
Very few people will have the privilege to witness this premiere, since all tickets were already sold two months ago.
This musical, composed by George Gershwin, plays an important role in the Royal Theatre's progamming after its reopening this year.
The play, first shown in Boston in 1935, relies on the American Soloist Chorus and the voices of Willard White as Porgy and Cynthia Haymon as Bess, under the musical direction of Chris Nance.
