Full given name: Laura Bell Bundy
Hometown: Lexington, KY
Zodiac sign: Aries
Audition song: "Hit Me With a Hot Note" [Duke Ellington]
Special skills: Songwriting, producing music, shaking my "junk," wheat-free cooking, consuming more chocolate than humanly possible... ability to be okay in uncomfortable situations?
First Broadway show ever saw: I think it was either Cats or Starlight Express.
If you could go back in time and catch any Broadway show, what would it be? Hair!
Current show you have been recommending to friends: Spring Awakening
Favorite showtune: "(You've Gotta Have) Heart" - sung by Dick Latessa
MAC or PC? Mac Laptop and a PC that my 80-year-old grandfather built for me — how many 80 year olds do that?... He's also taking Spanish!
Most played song on your iPod: "Mornings Eleven" by The Magic Numbers
One CD you couldn't live without: Otis Redding's "Greatest Hits" and anything Damien Rice
Last magazine you read: Elle — honestly
Must-see TV show: There is not anything I must see right now... don't watch TV much, but I enjoy watching whole seasons at once on DVD: "Lost," "Arrested Development," "Big Love," "The Sopranos"!
Last good movie you saw: "Half Nelson" on DVD... Ryan Gosling is unbelievably gifted.
Favorite board/card game: I love card games: gin, poker, rummy, phase 10...
Performer you would drop everything to go see: Damien Rice, Bright Eyes, Aretha Frankiln, Loretta Lynn
Pop culture guilty pleasure: US Weekly... smile — MTV "Sweet 16" (obnoxious and hilarious!)... Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake
First stage kiss: Actually, it was on screen, and it was in "Jumanji." I was 13, never been kissed, and I was so nervous that my first kiss was going to be on camera... Very depressing. But, I had a huge crush on this boy named Hunter, and he pulled thru kissing me just days before I filmed the scene! Woo hoo! That could have been years of therapy!!! We went out for eight months... He's now married with a child.
First Stage Kiss: Andy Ray in high school play Pajama Game.
On Broadway: Matt Morrison in Hairspray — not an unpleasant experience.
Favorite pre-show meal: Mixed greens with chicken (and shrimp chips!) from Eatery and Redbull or ham and cheese sandwich (no bread, I have a wheat allergy) with Lays potato chips and a diet Mt. Dew or chicken fried rice.
How you got your Equity card: I think I got it from doing Ruthless at age 10.
Worst missed cue/onstage mishap: Ruthless: I was in my dressing room eating during second act.. totally zoned out.. Donna English kept yelling, "Tina! Darling come out and see your grandmother... she's had a rough day... (murdering and all)"
Hairspray: Forgot where I was, who I was and what I was doing during "Nicest Kids in Town" — it was one of those out of body "Who am I?" experiences... Peter Matthew Smith was like "Hey Bundy, you okay?" It was so surreal... I just stopped dancing. Probably for about five seconds, but it felt like an eternity.
Worst costume ever: That 10-pound Hairspray wig! And, the hoop skirt that went with it.
Cats or dogs? Dogs!
Favorite cereal: Rice Crispies and Corn Flakes
Worst job you ever had: I did a movie in Costa Rica called "Surf School"... the location was great, and so was the cast but not a great working experience.
