"Ultimate Encore" is described as such: "'Ultimate Encore' follows Jerry, a stray dog, from the streets of Hell’s Kitchen, into the fabulousness of Broadway, as seen through the eyes of an unnamed diva hostess played by Bernadette Peters. It features celebrity cameos from old and new Broadway including Patina Miller, Carol Kane, Krystal Joy Brown, Charl Brown, and also hosts appearances from renowned fashion designer Cynthia Rowley, fashion model Selita Ebanks, actor Michael Urie and New York socialite Amanda Lepore."
The film also features such Instagram famous pooches as PS.NY, Ella Bean the Dog, Chloe the Mini Frenchie and Chloe Kardoggian.
"Ultimate Encore," which uses the W's newly renovated "Living Room" (lobby) as a backdrop, raises awareness of the W's P.A.W. (Pets Are Welcome) policy, which "welcomes guests and their pets with special treats and animal favorites."
In a statement Cumming said, "I have always loved how dog friendly W Hotels are. I have stayed at many W’s with my mutts over the years, so to be able to make a film that both celebrates the elevated version of Times Square that the newly renovated Living Room at W New York – Times Square represents and highlights the great pet adoption work of Broadway Barks was the perfect combo. I am also one of those people who enjoys working with animals (and divas)!"
Peters, co-founder of Broadway Barks, a "free, star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and rescue groups," added, "Working on the 'Ultimate Encore' film gave me the opportunity to combine two of my great loves, performing and puppies! I am so grateful to W New York – Times Square for their support of Broadway Barks and congratulate them on the beautiful new Living Room. I hope to enjoy many post-show celebrations there (with my dogs!) for years to come."
