The Color Purple, named Best Revival of a Musical at the 2016 Tony Awards, celebrated one year on Broadway December 10.
Directed by John Doyle and starring Cynthia Erivo, who won the Tony for Best Actress in a Musical, the revival opened December 10, 2015, and will have played 33 previews and 449 regular performances when it closes January 8, 2017.
