Photo Journal: La Grande-Duchesse de G_rolstein at L.A. Opera
Los Angeles Opera opened its season on September 10 with a new production of Offenbach's La Grande-Duchesse de G_rolstein directed by movie and television writer, director, and producer Garry Marshall.
The production, which runs through October 1, stars Frederica von Stade in the title role. Constance Hauman is Wanda, Paul Groves is Fritz, Anthony Laciura is Baron Puck, Rod Gilfrey is Prince Paul, and John Cheek is General Boum.
