Performed in Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage, the evening was conducted by music director Steven Reineke.
The concert featured classic holiday tunes like "I'll Be Home For Christmas," "Winter Wonderland" and "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year." The performance also included "Yes, Virginia (There's A Santa Claus)" by Emmy Award-winning songwriting team Wesley Whatley and William Schermerhorn, along with musical highlights by Sammy Cahn, John Williams and Vince Guaraldi.
Brown originated the title role in Mary Poppins on Broadway and the national tour. Her stage credits also include Beauty and The Beast, the national tour of Disney's On The Record and Oklahoma! at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
The choral ensemble Essential Voices USA (EVUSA) features professional singers and auditioned volunteers. It performs regularly on The New York Pops subscription series at Carnegie Hall and at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music. EVUSA also produces its own classical choral, musical theatre and operatic readings, workshops and recordings.
