The opera-singer-turned-Broadway-star will play the Manhattan nightspot through Sept. 25. The fall season will also feature John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey, who will play the Carlyle Oct. 5-Nov. 6, and Steve Tyrell, who is scheduled for a Nov. 9-Dec. 31 engagement.
Szot made his operatic debut as Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia in his native Sao Paolo before going on to sing lead roles with major opera companies internationally. He won the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Theatre World Awards for his performance in South Pacific.
