Composer-lyricist and subject of Putting It Together Stephen Sondheim chats with his star, Carol Burnett, at the musical's opening night party Nov. 21. The two-act Sondheim retrospective includes 33 songs and an entr'acte (orchestrated by longtime Sondheim collaborator Jonathan Tunick). Shows represented are The Frogs, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Anyone Can Whistle, Company, Follies, A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, Merrily We Roll Along, Sunday in the Park With George, Into the Woods, Assassins, the film "Dick Tracy" and the unproduced TV musical, "Do You Hear a Waltz?"
Putting It Together stars TV and film's Burnett, George Hearn (Sweeney Todd), Ruthie Henshall (Chicago), Bronson Pinchot ("Perfect Strangers") and John Barrowman (The Fix). Performances began Oct. 30 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre.
