Last year McDonald won her 5th career Tony Award for her leading performance in The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess. She previously won Tonys for Carousel, Master Class, Ragtime and A Raisin in the Sun.

The Musical Celebration of Broadway featured songs from McDonald's many Broadway triumphs, including The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, Carousel, Ragtime, Master Class, Marie Christine, 110 In The Shade; her operatic and concert work, including her celebrated turns in Passion and Mahagonny; and her award-winning albums "Way Back To Paradise," "How Glory Goes," "Happy Songs" and "Build a Bridge."
The event celebrating the work of the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright of August: Osage County and this season's Bug will be held at Circle in the Square.
