Having performed the role of psychiatrist Margaret Thorne Brent consistently for 8,963 performances since the Off-Broadway debut of the intimate thriller on April 18, 1987, Russell has earned a slot in the coveted book for "Most Performances By A Theater Actor in the Same Role." Russell's formal induction takes place following the 8 PM performance of Perfect Crime at the Snapple Theatre Center. The evening also celebrates the 22nd anniversary of the Warren Manzi play. All ticket holders for the 8 PM performance are invited to attend the after-party and induction.

In addition to her stage duties, Russell also serves as the general manager of Perfect Crime and the Snapple Theatre Center. She has only missed four performances during her 22-year Off-Broadway run.

"Catherine's world-class achievement is without question truly historic," said Danny Girton, Jr, adjudications executive at Guinness World Records, in a statement.
