"Theater Talk," the New York City PBS talk show that offers interviews with top theatre celebrities and writers, will feature a chat with the award winning songwriting team, taped right before the opening of their hit Broadway revival of Chicago. The interview features a discussion of that musical, including their work with the late director/choreographer Bob Fosse. The telecast will also include a discussion of the current film of "Chicago," directed by Rob Marshall. New York Post critic Jonathan Foreman and Associated Press writer Michael Kuchwara will be on hand to give their views of the new Miramax Film, which was recently nominated for 13 Academy Awards, including Best Film.
For the theatre, John Kander and Fred Ebb have written the scores for Flora, the Red Menace; Cabaret; The Happy Time; Zorba; 70, Girls, 70; Chicago; The Act; Woman of the Year; The Rink; And the World Goes 'Round—The Kander & Ebb Musical; Kiss of the Spider Woman and Steel Pier. They are also currently working on musical versions of The Visit and The Skin of Our Teeth.
