The story of rock musicians Pat Benatar and her husband Neil Giraldo will hit the stage in a new jukebox musical that is aiming to premiere on Broadway in 2017, according to Deadline.com.
Garry Lenon, who has executive-produced and written for Orange Is the New Black, will author the musical’s book. Jamie Cesa will produce the musical that traces the personal and professional lives of rock vocalist Benatar and guitarist Giraldo.
Grammy winner Benatar’s hits include “Heartbreaker,” “Hit Me with Your Best Shot,” “Love Is a Battlefield” and “We Belong.”
A title has not been announced.
