Dancer and singer Ruggiero was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and faced the amputation of his right leg at the age of 19. Despite having only one leg, Ruggiero continues to pursue a career in musical theatre.

Read the Playbill.com feature with Ruggiero, where he recounts his battle with osteosarcoma and how he taught himself to dance again with one leg.

At the 11:30 PM concert, Ruggiero and Fredo "take you through a sound warp of music, dance, and explosive vocals," according to press notes.

Fredo is composed of musicians Jason Kennedy, Ray Carega and Brendan Daily.

Ruggiero began dancing at the age of five in his hometown studio, and by age 10, he was accepted into the New Jersey Tap Ensemble, under the direction of Deborah Mitchell. At age 19, he was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer, resulting in the amputation of his right leg. After undergoing months of chemotherapy and additional surgeries to save his life, he began to teach himself how to tap dance again by using a peg leg.

He is currently in the new workshop production of PANIC! The Musical.
