Following a successful run at the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Olivia Levine's Unstuck will make its Off-Broadway debut later this fall.
Written and performed by Levine (Tallulah, I Hate Kids), performances are scheduled for October 15-November 2 at SoHo Playhouse.
The comedic solo show about the intersection of Levine’s OCD and her sexuality, specifically her queerness, features direction by Molly Rose Heller.
"Hi, I'm Olivia Levine, and I suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder, a mental health condition characterized by persistent intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or
mental acts (compulsions)," the writer-performer says in press notes. "Or, to put it simply, I'm anxious as hell and I do some pretty strange, unexpected things to alleviate that anxiety. We've all heard about the classic stuff—the hand washing, the touching, the counting. But most of us haven't heard about the other ways OCD can manifest. Like a fear of accidentally causing violent harm to a parent, or the concern that using a particular word might result in the death of your best friend! The list goes on and on and on, and it looks WILDLY different from person to person."
Unstuck has a running time of 60 minutes and is recommended for audiences 18 years or older.
