Come From Away, the new musical that explores the lasting connection forged between a group of travelers whose planes were diverted to a small Newfoundland town during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, officially opened on Broadway March 12 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.
The musical makes its New York debut after playing try-outs at La Jolla Playhouse, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Ford’s Theatre in Washington D.C., and Toronto’s Royal Alexandra Theatre. Broadway previews began February 18.
Marianne Elliott's revival of the Stephen Sondheim-George Furth musical, starring Katrina Lenk and Patti LuPone, officially opened at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre December 9.
