News New Hoch, Blessing, Baitz Plays Featured at Ojai Playwrights Conference, July 21-27 Danny Hoch, Charlayne Woodard, Lee Blessing and Jon Robin Baitz are among the playwrights selected to present public readings of their latest works for the Ojai Playwrights Conference. The sixth annual event will run July 21-27 at the southern California locale.

Till The Break Of Dawn by Hoch, Pro Bono by Peter Morris, The Man Who Outgrew His Prison Cell by Joe Loya, Flight by Woodard, Flag Day by Blessing and Chinese Friends by Baitz will be this year's selected works. Set in the Ojai countryside, the conference provides a retreat-like environment away from nearby Los Angeles where the scribes work in-house on their developing plays. The intensive workshop ends with the public readings.

Past conference participants — playwrights and performers — include Arthur Kopit, David Ives, Christopher Durang, David Lindsay-Abaire, Adam Rapp, Dana Delany, Victor Garber, Ron Rifkin, William H. Macy, Felicity Huffman and David Hyde Pierce.
