"Whatever I Want It To Be" is described as "a fun and eclectic album of songs with influences ranging from jazz to big band, soul to pop, rock and roll to singer/songwriter, Motown and beyond."
Produced by James Bilodeau, Matt Hinkley and Gealt, the album features two-time Tony nominee Osnes (Cinderella), two-time Grammy nominee Jane Monheit, two-time Tony nominee Henry (Violet), Luke Edgemon ("The Voice," "Glee"), Loren Allred ("The Voice"), Craig Colton ("The X-Factor" U.K.), Levy (Ghost, Hair, Wicked), Weiss (Everyday Rapture, Les Misérables), Whitney Bashor (Bridges of Madison County, Beaches), Umphress (On The Town, American Idiot), Brightman (School of Rock, Wicked), Mendez (Significant Other, Dogfight, Wicked, Godspell), Celisse Henderson (Godspell), Cooper (Spring Awakening, Wicked), Addi McDaniel (Addi & Jacq), Michael Deleget, Gealt and James Bilodeau.
Matt Hinkley also serves as musical supervisor and helped arrange the album with Gealt.
Gealt celebrates the Nov. 29 release with a Birdland concert on the same night at 6 PM. Guests include Monheit, Drew Gehling, Bashor, Lauren Pritchard (LOLO), McDaniel, Deleget and Allred.
Gealt's debut album, "Thirteen Stories Down," was released in 2011 on Sh-k-Boom/Ghostlight Records. His second album was entitled "Here For You – Ballads for Broadway Impact," and a portion of all sales benefited Broadway Impact. Gealt is currently adapting Lyndsay Faye's novel "Dust and Shadow," among other projects.
