LOS ANGELES -- Make way for naked boys singing.
That's the title of the next show at the Celebration Theatre. Billed as "a very original musical revue," Naked Boys Singing! will feature the songwriting talents of Stephen Bates, Marie Cain, Shelly Markham, Jim Morgan, David Peysner, Renee Santorini, Mark Savage, Ben Schaechter, Robert Shrock, Mark Winkler and Bruce Vilanch.
Conceived and directed by Shrock, the producing director of the Celebration Theatre, the musical opens Mar. 28 at 8 PM.
The choreographers are Bubba Carr, Kenny Ortega, D.A. Pawley, Travis Payne and Lavelle Smith, and Mic Thompson. The lighting design is by Frank McKown, the costume design is by Sherri Grider and musical direction is by Stephen Bates.
The featured performers are Brian Beacock, Tony Davis, Steve Gideon, Christopher Gilbert, Mike Haboush, Tod Macofsky, T. Bedford Scofield, Trance Thompson and Vincent Zamara. Performances are Thu.-Sun. at 8 PM through May 31 at the Celebration Theatre, 7051 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood. (There is no performance April 12.) For tickets, $25, call (213) 660-8587.
