As previously announced, her leading man will be Broadway's Jeff McCarthy (Urinetown, The Pirate Queen). Harris won the Tony for playing Mrs. Meers in the musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. She also starred in Cry-Baby on Broadway, among other titles in New York and around the country. Mrs. Lovett will mark Harris' debut at Barrington Stage.
Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's darkly comic musical about revenge will play June 17-July 17 at BSC's Mainstage, 30 Union Street, Pittsfield, MA. Artistic director Julianne Boyd will direct. Opening night will be June 23.
