Hot off the heels of performing on the Academy Awards stage February 26, Moana star Auli'i Cravalho has another screen gig lined up. According to Deadline, the 16-year-old performer is set to star in the previously announced NBC pilot Drama High, produced by Hamilton's Jeffrey Seller.

The series, based on Michael Sokolove's book Drama High: The Incredible True Story of a Brilliant Teacher, a Struggling Town, and the Magic of Theater, explores the life of Lou Volpe, who led a working class high school drama department and galvanized the town through his passion for performance.

Cravalho will play Lilette, one of the students at the school. This will mark her television acting debut.

Seller will produce the scripted series (his first) alongside producing partner Flody Suarez and Jason Katims. No word yet on a production timeline for the project.
