Directed by Sam Pinkleton with musical direction by Matt Aument, the free concert — a showcase of Willmott's work — begins at 6:30 PM.
Presented by the Fred Ebb Foundation in association with the York Theatre Company, the concert also features Etai BenShlomo (Wicked), Griffin Birney (Fun Home at the Public), Larkin Bogan (Hair), Alyse Alan Louis (Mamma Mia!), Grace McLean (The Last Goodbye at the Williamstown Theatre Festival), Matthew Schechter (Newsies, Mary Poppins) and Sam Tedaldi.
The band includes Gregg Monteith and Alisa Horn. Rachel Sussman produces.
Willmott's work has been performed at the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, the Walnut Street Theatre, 54 Below, Joe's Pub at the Public Theater and The York Theatre, among others. His work includes Standardized Testing - The Musical!!!!, the mini-musical Scarlet Takes a Tumble and Yo, Vikings! (with lyricist Marcus Stevens).
