Later this month, Manhattan Theatre Club will present the American premiere of the Royal Court Theatre production of The Children, a new play by Lucy Kirkwood. The Broadway production will begin previews at the the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre November 28.
The show is set to star three of the original acclaimed London cast: Francesca Annis, Ron Cook, and Deborah Findlay. James Macdonald, who helmed the Royal Court staging, as well as Top Girls at MTC, returns to direct.

The Children tells the story of two retired nuclear engineers living in a remote cottage on the British coast. When an old friend turns up at their door, a shocking discovery disrupts their quiet existence.
The Broadway engagement will officially open December 14.
