Titled A Spring Tribute to Marvin Hamlisch, the event will be held at the Hudson Theatre at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City.
In addition to Jordan, the concert will feature Adam Jacobs (Aladdin), Lindsay Mendez (Wicked), Marissa McGowan (A Little Night Music), Steven Brinberg, Bernard Dotson (Sweet Smell of Success), Peter Dugan and Charles Yang. John Simpkins will direct with musical direction by J. Ernest Green, stage management by Tony Award winner Peter Lawrence and sound by Bob Rendon.
The ensemble members are Craig Blake, Dionne Figgins, Matt Gibson, Justin Henry,Reed Kelly, Amanda Kloots, Ryan Steer, Mindy Wallace, Chryssie Whitehead, Ryan Worsing and Sam Zack.
Sweet Smell of Success, which was penned by Hamlisch (music), Craig Carnelia (lyrics) and John Guare (book), played 18 previews and 109 regular performances at the Martin Beck Theatre in 2002. The cast boasted John Lithgow, Brian d'Arcy James and Kelli O'Hara.
The gala will also feature the presentation of the Marvin Hamlisch Memorial Award for Humanitarian Efforts to philanthropist Lily Safra for her "ongoing global charitable endeavors, notably in science and in medicine."
Proceeds will benefit the cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services supported by the American Cancer Society.
