The party's ending. London's immersive Priscilla The Party! will play its final performance May 26 at HERE at Outernet. The production, adapted from the earlier Olivier-winning musical (itself based on the 1994 film), began performances March 3 and officially opened March 25.

"The producers have supported the show financially since opening, but sadly that is no longer sustainable," write the show's producer team in a joint statement. "We very much regret this reality, but the production has been facing difficult times. We can find comfort in knowing that the decision to close has nothing at all to do with the show itself. The extraordinary reviews and overwhelming positive response from audiences is solid proof of that."

The original Priscilla Queen of the Desert debuted in Sydney in 2006, before heading to the West End in 2009, and running on Broadway in 2011. Priscilla The Party! tells the same heartwarming tale of three friends who hop aboard a battered old bus searching for love and friendship and find more than they could have ever dreamed of. The original creative team behind the 2006 musical reunited for this new iteration, led by director Simon Phillips.

The cast includes Trevor Ashley as Gaye Cliché, Owain Williams as Tick and Mitzi, Dakota Starr as Bernadette, Reece Kerridge as Adam and Felicia, and Steven Serlin as Bob the Mechanic, with Grace Galloway, Gracie Lai, and Sara Louise as the Divas. Joni Ayton-Kent serves as the alternate for Bernadette. They are joined by John McGlone, Matthew Facchino, Isidro Ridout, Brandon Gale, William Elijah-Lewis, Samuel Stokes, Dan Holland, Kimberly Blake, Lucy Park, Maria Myatt, and Teagan Denham.

Staged at Here at Outernet, a high tech entertainment venue, audience members have the opportunity to enjoy a premium dining experience featuring a three-course meal, or sit or stand on the dance floor. For those who choose seats around or on the dance floor, an array of bar snacks and drinks are available from the expansive bar area.

The immersive production features the same award-winning costumes from the original iteration of the musical, plus renditions of disco-pop hits like "Hotstuff," "It’s Raining Men," "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," "Finally, "Go West," "Say A Little Prayer," "I Will Survive," and more.

Priscilla the Party! features set and video design by Brian Thomson and Justin Nardella, costume design by Tim Chappell and Lizzy Gardiner, choreography by Andrew Hallsworth, musical arrangements, direction, supervision, and orchestrations by Stephen "Spud" Murphy, music direction by Steve Geere, lighting design by Per Hording, sound design by Ben Harrison, and general management by RGM Productions. Randall A. Buck, Patrick Bywalski, and Rod Gunner produce in association with Nullarbor Productions, as well as Blue Stage Entertainment in association with MGM on Stage.
