It will be directed by Thom Southerland and produced by Danielle Tarento, who previously collaborated on productions of Parade and Mack and Mabel at the same venue.
The title role/s will be played by Anna Francolini, whose leading roles include appearing as Marta in Company and Gussie in Merrily We Roll Along (both at the Donmar Warehouse, directed respectively by Sam Mendes and Michael Grandage), The Baker's Wife in Into the Woods (Royal Opera House's Linbury Studio) and appearing in Martin Sherman's Onassis (West End's Novello Theatre).
Victor/Victoria has a book by Blake Edwards, music by Henry Mancini, lyrics by Leslie Bricusse and additional musical material (music and lyrics) by Frank Wildhorn. Julie Andrews, Liza Minnelli and Raquel Welch all starred as Victor/Victoria on Broadway, where the show ran for more than 700 performances.
